Synopsis

Plot

You have arranged a holiday with a friend at a seaside resort. When he does not arrive at the meeting point, you start to make inquiries. It turns out that he took a boat to a mysterious, mist-shrouded island three days ago. The locals seem scared of the island, so you rent a boat and head there by yourself. When you enter the dense fog, you can't see anything, so you stop the engine, but drive into a rock. The boat sinks, but you manage to make it to the shore, where you collapse from exhaustion. When you wake up, you find yourself in a forest.

'Die Geheimnisvolle Insel' is German for 'The Mysterious Island'. This was published on a disk that was available by mail order after purchasing the German book The Best of Atari XL/XE: Das Vierte XL-Special, S Seibold, R Bahn, A Hampel et al, Vogel Verlag, Würzburg, Germany, 1987. It is also available from Atari Bit Byter User Club (ABBUC), disk #308.
